Thank you for visiting the Russian River Resort's website. As you are probably aware, the resort suffered major damage in the New Year's Eve flood in all the guest rooms, bar and restaurant.
We are very appreciative of all the well wishes and we would specifically like to acknowledge our staff and the local community for their incredible efforts during the clean-up post flood phase. The generosity and love that came forth is heartfelt and will not soon be forgotten.
It is our goal to have the resort fully operational as soon as possible. It is hard to estimate a time table, but the work has begun. We anticipate the bar will be open by late February/early March, followed quickly by the restaurant and then our guest rooms. The silver lining in all of this is that we are dedicated to revamping the entire property so that when you do return you will be impressed by all the new things we have to offer to make your vacation a memorable one. The bar is being completely remolded, the rooms upgraded to standards which we anticipate our guests will thoroughly appreciate and of course we will re-open our newly designed restaurant and continue to serve the food that has received rave reviews.
Reservations:
We will start taking reservations for the season as soon as we have a more certain date for room remodeling completion. We hope to be fully operational by May 1st. Please continue to check back with us for updates.
Lazy Bear Reservations:
We will be taking reservations for Lazy Bear Weekend on March 1st, beginning at 10 a.m. promptly. As you know, these will go quickly, so be prepared with your dialing finger. We will not be holding our usual in-person lottery or taking reservations via email.
Status of Guerneville Post Flood:
Despite the fact that the Triple R, The Woods, Brookside and Fifes suffered substantial damage, the rest of the town is flourishing and any news to the contrary is simply incorrect. Please come see for yourself and hopefully our bar will be open soon so that you can stop by, have a drink (or two), sing some Karaoke with Country Dan, and catch a glimpse of all the wonderful changes we are making.
There are currently great places to stay in Guerneville -- Highlands, Ferngrove, Willows, Creekside, Applewood, The Woods (it has already reopened--yeah!) and River Village and in Monte Rio -- Village Inn and Rio Villa. And, of course, the Rainbow Cattle Company, Liquid Sky, and Bullpen are all open to provide you with great libation. All of Main Street was spared any flood damage, so there are plenty of things to do when visiting our wonderful town. Please click on our "links page" at the bottom of this page to find out what is happening and to contact our friends. We know that they would be very happy to see you this winter!
The owners, management and staff of the Russian River Resort wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2006 and we look forward to seeing all of our wonderful guests and friends very soon. As we say, a little flood water won't keep us down for long !
